DESCRIPTION:\nPlease join us for the Fall Meeting of the Colorado West Estate Planning Council! \n \nWe will have Jack Curry - Executive Director speak about the Riverside Education Centers (REC) providing structured tutoring and diverse extracurricular activities in the after-school hours for students in grades K-12 in order to improve academic achievement and foster positive social and emotional development in a safe and supportive environment.\n \nWe will have Nathan Perry - Professor of Economics at Colorado Mesa University present on the current economic outlook.\n \nNathan Perry - Nathan Perry, Ph.D., is a Professor of Economics at Colorado Mesa University. His research interests include regional economics, macroeconomics, and money and banking. He has conducted several regional economic studies including economic impact studies, and public land studies, and has published work on Deficits and Debt, inflation, and the Great Depression. Perry writes quarterly economic newsletters for Mesa, Montrose, and Delta Counties, and semi-annual newsletters for Garfield, Rio Blanco, Moffat, and Routt Counties. Perry regularly presents on the economic conditions of the Western Slope, Colorado, and the national economy. He teaches Money and Banking, Econometrics, and Macroeconomics.  f\n \nJack Curry - Jack Curry currently serves as the Executive Director of Riverside Education Centers (REC) which provided free after-school tutoring and enrichment programs to 1,400 Mesa County students across 16 schools in 2023-24.  Prior to this, Jack filled a variety of roles at REC, where he worked alongside a team that helped scale and refine REC’s programs. Prior to moving to Grand Junction in 2018, Jack worked as a case manager, and youth development specialist at a social services non-profit in addition to two years as Peace Corps volunteer in rural, agrarian Panama.\n
