Please join us for the Winter Meeting of the Colorado West Estate Planning Council! 

We will have Zebulon Miracle - CEO speak about the Roice-Hurst Humane Society. Whose mission is  to provides individualized enrichment, veterinary care, and adoption services for dogs and cats, as well as a variety of innovative support services for pet owners with a goal of keeping owned pets united with the people who love them. 

We will have Rachel Votto, CPA, AEP present on "Transforming Taxes into Opportunity"

2024 tax planning with key tax considerations and recent developments for the 2024 tax year. Providing opportunities for retirement and succession planning, estate and gift taxes, small business planning opportunities and additional tax issues. The schedule sunset of provision of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is around the corner, what should taxpayers be considering as we start 2025 and before 2026. In addition, with the 2024 election results, what impact will this have on the tax proposals and possible new tax legislation.

Rachel Votto joined BDG-CPAs in 1999 and was admitted as a partner in 2008. Starting in 2003, she has concentrated mostly in the tax area and was promoted to partner-in-charge of BDG-CPAs tax services in 2012. She is head of all operations since 2022.

Rachel serves many corporate and partnership clients including closely held businesses to multinational corporations with experience on acquisitions, reorganizations, international, multistate structures and complex tax planning strategies to assist clients in maximizing tax savings. She also provides comprehensive financial planning to executives and high net worth individuals, including trusts and estates.

Rachel is a member and past President of the prestigious Estate Planning Council of Bergen County. She is also on the executive committee of the prominent National Association of Estate Planners & Councils. She has made various presentations  on new tax legislation and other tax topics. Rachel has strong technical and analytical skills and keeps current on tax issues and developments.

She is a graduate of Villanova University and also holds a master’s degree in taxation from Pace University. She enjoys being active and spending time with family and friends, and her place at the beach, loving the ocean, as she grew up in Southern California.

Zebulon Miracle is the Chief Executive Officer of Roice-Hurst Humane Society. Born and raised in Grand Junction, Zebulon is passionate about the western Colorado community and strives to implement creative, innovative, impactful solutions to improve the lives of pets and their people. Prior to joining the team, he served as the Executive Director of United Way of Mesa County and previously served in high-level roles at Gateway Canyons Resort and Museums of Colorado. He holds a Master of Arts in Leadership and Administration. Outside of the office, Zebulon enjoys learning and teaching about local history, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with his wife, son, and adorable golden retriever, Zephyr.
