CWEPC Member Meeting
Clara Brown Shaffer will be presenting on the Basics of Medicaid and common planning ideas.
Clara is a partner at the Law office of Brown and Brown, P.C. Her practice focuses primarily on estate planning, estate administration, special needs planning, elder law, and long term care planning. Clara graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and received her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2006.
Clara's involvement in the legal and local community includes:
- Fellow of the American College of Trust & Estate Counsel (ACTEC)
- Past Chair of the Statutory Revisions Committee for the Trust and Estate Section of the Colorado Bar Association
- Member of the Elder Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association
- Board Member of the NextGen Board at HopeWest
- Board Member Colorado Mesa University Foundation
- Board Member of the Second Century Advisory Council at St. Mary's Hospital Foundation
Clara is the author of the Estate Planning chapter in the Senior Law Handbook published by CLE/Colorado Bar Association. She frequently gives presentations and seminars throughout the State on topics involving trust and estate planning, estate administration and elder law.
Join us at 4:00 pm for registration, networking and a brief presentation from Western Colorado Community Foundation with the main presentation to begin at 4:30 pm.
Complimentary light refreshments will be served. Each attendee will also receive one complimentary adult beverage. Cash bar will also be available.
Cost is free to CWEPC members. Non-members are welcome for $25 per person. First-time guests of a paid member are also free. Please invite your colleagues!
